Anyone approved to take an Exam will be sent an eligibility email from both NSED and from our third-party testing provider, PSI.
The email from our office will contain a blurb letting you know that we have sent your eligibility information to PSI, as well as a short quiz on the State Act and Board Rules to be returned upon passing an exam.
The email from PSI will include a link to schedule and pay for your exam, and to select the testing center that is most convenient for you.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have not submitted an Exam Application and been approved to test through the Nebraska State Electrical Division, you will not be able to complete testing through PSI. Also, remember you must submit an Exam Application each time you would like to take an Exam and wait for emailed approval before scheduling.
If you are wanting to test for Specialty Licenses: Fire Alarm Installer, Sign Installer, Irrigation, or HVAC licenses, please submit your exam application and once approved, Allyson from the Licensing Desk will reach out to help you schedule your exam.
Remember no exams will be scheduled before you receive approval through the Nebraska State Electrical Division.
