State Reciprocity
- You must have received a 75% or greater on the State exam for the license you wish to reciprocate.
- Nebraska licensed candidates must have been registered for 4 years and worked 8000 hours in Nebraska.
- You must have held the license you wish to reciprocate in good standing for a period of not less than 1 year.
- If the issuing state has no record of your exam it will be rejected.
- Refunds will not be made for processed applications. (be sure you qualify before you send the application and fees).
Municipal Reciprocity
- You must have received a 75% or greater on the exam from the approved Nebraska program you wish to reciprocate.
- If the issuing municipality has no record of your exam it will be rejected and number 4 will apply.
- Refunds will not be made for processed applications. (be sure you qualify before you send the application and fees)
***Note: There is a one-time reciprocation policy for the State of Nebraska, if you let your license lapse (not renew it) for any reason, you will have to take an exam to get it back.***

Reciprocal Licensing Agreement with the Other States
The Nebraska State Electrical Board has a reciprocal licensing agreement for the Journeyman Electrician license with all of the following states. The applicant must have passed a state examination in order for the license to reciprocate to another State.
