When renewing your license:
Attach all continuing education certificates to your renewal.
You will need 12 hours (6 code minimum) it has to be done by 1/1/2019
If your license was issued in 2018, you would only need 6 hours of continuing education. If it was by an exam, your continuing education is covered.
The continuing education providers are required to give everyone a certificate with the State Electrical provider number and total hours attended on it.
PER STATE LAW 81-2117.01(3) and 81-2117.02(2)
If a continuing education course is approved, the licensee or registrant shall retain the attendance certificate and attach it to the application for renewal of his or her license or registration at the time of renewal.
A person licensed as a Class A master electrician, Class B master electrician, Class B electrical contractor, Class B journeyman electrician, an installer or a special electrician on September 9, 1993, may renew such license on or after such date upon presentation of documentary evidence of successful completion of the requisite hours of continuing education courses under section 81-2117,01 and payment of the fee for renewal provided by section 81-2118,
If you do not have a certificate then you need to contact the provider, we do not keep that information. You can contact State Reporting at www.statereporting.com or 855-261-9808.
If your renewal is rejected online (usually do to no or not enough continuing education hours) you are not charged for the license. Your financial institution may put a hold on the money (which we have no control over) you may wish to contact them as to the time frame.
DO NOT send us certificates without the renewal form, we will not do anything with them until after December 31, 2018.
